Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help with the 2016 Central Virginia Design House. The Design House is an important outreach and fundraising event for the YWCA of Central Virginia. We value and greatly appreciate all the time and energy you are contributing to make this event a success!
We will need 8 volunteers to help host the Design House during the times it is open to the public. These volunteers will serve as greeters, room hosts, handle tickets and help in the Farm Basket Boutique.
Training for new volunteers will be on November 9th at 6:00 at the Design House.

If you have a group that is interested in volunteering together, please do. Volunteers are vital to the success of the Design House and serve as ambassadors for the YWCA of Central Virginia.
How long is each shift? Each Design House shift is 4 hours.
Can I work double shifts? Yes, you can either work a double on one day or work several shifts on different days. You know yourself best and can gauge which works for you.
Can I change the start and end times of my shift slightly? Sorry, but no. The schedules show the minimum coverage we need for each shift and we need to assure coverage, as the shifts are interdependent.
Do volunteers tour the Design House for free? Yes, on the day you volunteer. However, other visits require a ticket.
General Info about Design House:
The Design House will be open to the public every day, except Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thanksgiving Day from Saturday, November 12th until Sunday, December 4th.
Hours are 10am to 6pm Thursday through Saturday and 12pm to 4pm on Sundays. One-day tickets are $20 and multi-visit tickets are $35 (these also allow you to attend any or all of the seminars on various days).
